1. Buy Less and Better Quality
Because I have a tendency towards frittering my money away on small purchases, I am determined to save up for nicer more durable items. I will have less clutter and nicer things.
2. Set the Table for Dinner
Take the time to set the table with placemats, napkins, real glasses, flatware, and flowers if you choose. Its easy to skip this with a busy schedule, but it makes a meal all that more satisfying if you spend a few extra minutes on the table.
3. Define Function
If clutter is something you battle with as well, defining the function of a space will keep you from incorporating all of the unnecessaries.
4. Create a Mood Board
This works well for resolutions 1 and 3. Having a mood board will help keep you focused on goals, scale down those stacks of dog eared magazines, create a place for inspiration to flourish, and keep those good ideas fresh in your mind.
