A Little DIY

We have been wanting a new dining table for quite some time and I am considering this little project. I found it on this fantastic website full of diy's. I think it looks great with the look I have been obsessed with the last few weeks.

Decorating on the Cheap

Having been in our apartment now for 5 months I thought it was fit time we did something with our bedroom. I had been putting this off for some time because D and I have completely different taste when it comes to furniture. I would love nothing more than a lovely upholstered headboard like this one, but alas this one's a no-go. So until we can settle on something we both like {i.e. I can give up control on this one thing} I was thinking of doing a wall painted headboard like these:

DIY: Halloween Ideas

Make your own dinnerware for a fun, spooky, and completely unique Halloween celebration.
What you will need:
* off with plain white plates
* a porcelain 150 pen,
* some blue masking tape
* a small stencil (optional)

Use a small adhesive stencil of a raven from Martha Stewart crafts, applied off center and filled in with the ink. Let dry and pull off the stencil.

Cut a single piece of blue painters tape to use as a guide to keep straight and start copying the text across the rim of the plate. Don't worry about being too neat - it should look scribbled. If you make a mistake simply wipe it off with a wet paper towel and start over.

Finally allow to dry completely for 24 hours then bake in the oven according to the markers directions to set the design. Thanks to Everything Fabulous for posting this and for more Halloween ideas check out my Pinterest Holiday board.

Living in Martha Stewart Land

I was watching Martha's talk show this afternoon (daytime T.V. what can you do) and they were doing all kids of Martha Stewarty things so I decided to go on line and brows through the websight and this is what I surfaced with:

Closet on Wheels

Jewelery Storage

Stress Relief

Drawer Organizers

Anti-Stress Office

And last, a very organized home office
